Benign Mesothelioma

There are malignant types of mesothelioma cancer, and there are non malignant or benign types of mesothelioma. These non malignant types of mesothelioma are less dangerous that the malignant types, but they may go to the malignant case if the treatment was so late, the benign tumors shall be changed to maligmamt form in that case.

Benign Mesothelioma is a very rare form of mesothelioma, the tumor of this form isn't cancerous but could be with the time. In this form of mesothelioma the non cancerous tumors develop in the mesothelium (mesothelial cells membrane) that called pleura (the lung lining) and could be more larger and cause shortness of breath. Benign mesothelioma disease isn't related to asbestos exposure at all.

Benign Mesothelioma Symptoms:

The symptoms of benign mesothelioma is may be chest pain and shortness of breath, these two signs are the main symptoms due to the compression of the tumors on lungs and chest cavity and can be observed by doctors during the diagnosis process.

Benign Mesothelioma Diagnosis:

When we talk about the diagnosis, benign mesothelioma must be diagnosed quickly, because if the patient take a long time to be diagnosed as a benign mesothelioma, the benign tumors could convert to malignant form which be very difficult to treat in that case. The method to diagnose benign mesothelioma by using CT scans and biopsy, we can recognize the benign (non cancerous) mesothelioma tumors.

As mentioned above, this option may be combined with other treatment options, the best way to make an effective treatment for the mesothelioma is to make a combination between all suitable treatments.

Benign Mesothelioma Treatment:

Treatment for benign mesothelioma is differ from the treatment of other malignant types of mesothelioma cancer. Other than the malignant types of mesothelioma that doctors could use from the three options of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy "may make a combination with two or three of these options", the Surgery is the only safe and effective option to treat the benign mesothelioma.
