Mesothelioma Symptoms
The main problem when you diagnose the mesothelioma is the long time of symptoms to appear after the person has exposure to Asbestos, some of mesothelioma symptoms are related to the presence of tumors in some internal organs of the human body.
Unfortunately, the symptoms of Mesothelioma take very long time to appear after the exposure to asbestos from 20 to 50 years, and this explains why new cases are recorded recently. Workers who have worked in manufacturing companies that have used asbestos in their products are the most people at risk of mesothelioma cancer. Asbestos are several mineral that make chronic inflammation in the pleura (lung lining) after the inhalation of them, then it may cause malignant tumors in the pleura.
Symptoms of pleural mesothelioma: The growth of tumors which fills the pleura with fluid making high compression on the chest cavity and lungs and decreases the area of lung's movements, the symptom after that will be the shortness of breath. Blood in the sputum, cough and chest pain also may occur.
Symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma: Peritoneal mesothelioma is less common than pleural mesothelioma but still more viciousness. In this type the tumors of mesothelioma develop in the peritoneum (the outer membranes of abdominal cavity and internal organs in the abdominal cavity). General weakness and abdomen pain are the main symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma. Shortness of breath appears also due to the growth of tumors and the compression of them on the upper parts.
Symptoms of pericardial mesothelioma: The least common type of mesothelioma cancer that affects the heart sac which called Pericardium (the heart lining). The symptoms often be heart related as irregular impulses of the heart. There is also cough and chest pain.
